Last Friday was the second Print Competition of the 2023-2024 season for Reading Camera Club. An open competition, so pictures on any theme could be entered, members submitted up to 3 prints for consideration by a judge from another local club. Scores in individual competitions count towards the Chandler Trophy awarded at the end of the season. Our judge for the evening was Keith Newton LRPS who gave us the benefit of his experience and insight to critique each of the 30 prints submitted by members with his helpful and instructive comments. Prints submitted were on a broad range of themes reflecting the different interests of club members. Images were scored out of 20, and 5 prints achieved the top score of 20– congratulations to those photographers. The judge also commented on the wide variety of good quality work that he had seen over the evening.
