The first event in the Summer Programme for Reading Camera Club was a photowalk at the Harris Gardens in the University of Reading grounds on Friday 9th June at 7.00pm. A great evening for a walk in a tranquil and relaxing setting where members of the camera club, together with guests, spent 90 minutes exploring and photographing the gardens.
The evening sunlight was perfect for getting some good pictures highlighting the flowers and plants, the collection of roses in the garden looking particularly good in the evening light. Our next photowalk is on Saturday 24th June (meeting at Reading Station at 9.00am) when our Chairman is leading a photowalk in London, covering Spitalfields, Shoreditch and Soho – a great opportunity to come with us to do some street and architecture photography.
Our next meeting in Reading will be a photowalk along the Thames Path on the evening of Friday 7th July starting from Caversham Bridge. All meetings in our Summer Programme are free of charge and open to everyone with an interest in photography.
