Reading Camera Club held its annual Auction on Friday 9th February, raising money for club funds. Our Treasurer again became Auctioneer for the evening and entertained club members whilst gently persuading them to part with their money for a very varied collection of items contributed by members of the club. Lenses, tripods, photography books and studio lighting were all on offer as well as some vintage photography kit, of more historical interest, such as rangefinders and film cameras. Over a £100 was raised to boost our funds.
Our next meeting on Friday 16th February will be a talk from the well-known portrait photographer Emma Finch. Her presentation is titled “Portraits With Impact”. For a preview of the range and quality of Emma’s photography take a look at her website https://www.emmafinchphotography.co.uk/. Emma will be giving her presentation on Zoom, and you can either join the meeting on Zoom or come to our meeting at St Peter’s Church Hall, Earley, Reading RG6 1EY, where her talk will be shown. Non-members are very welcome at our meetings for a small session charge.
