Our Club has been around for 69 years; the location may have changed (three times in our history) but the enthusiasm remains constant! We meet every Friday at 7.45 p.m. during our season (September-May) and offer a varied and interesting programme to appeal to photographers of all levels. We have internal competitions (both print and digital), a programme of interesting speakers, practical evenings to share tips, and in-house evenings where members can show off their particular photographic skills. We’re affiliated to the Southern Counties Photographic Federation and enter some of their competitions to pit our skills against other affiliated clubs. There are also annual friendly competitions against other clubs in our part of the world. The activities continue during our closed season (May to September) with fortnightly get-togethers at local pubs (with optional walks/photo opportunities nearby), and our Programme Secretary makes sure we have a Summer project to photograph so we don’t get rusty!
We’ve been told we’re a friendly bunch, but don’t take our word for it. You’re welcome to come along a couple of times to see if you feel at home – we make a small charge of £5 per visit. Have a look at Join Us for full membership info.
